This is the top end of our pre-workout range — formulas built for experienced stimulant users who've already built tolerance on standard or beginner-level products and want more. These aren't formulas to start with; they're dosed for people who know exactly how their body handles caffeine and stimulant stacks, and want maximum output rather than a gentle introduction.
What makes a pre-workout "high stim"
It's not just raw caffeine content — most products in this category stack caffeine anhydrous with additional stimulant ingredients (things like DMHA, higenamine, or other caffeine-adjacent compounds, depending on the brand and formula) to compound the effect beyond what caffeine alone would deliver. Combined with clinically-dosed pump and endurance ingredients (typically 6–10g Citrulline, 3g+ Beta-Alanine, Betaine), these formulas are built to hit hard on every front — energy, focus, and pumps — simultaneously.
Who this is for
- Experienced pre-workout users with an established stimulant tolerance
- Lifters training early morning or midday, where a strong stimulant hit won't interfere with sleep
- Anyone who's found standard or Beginner (Low Stim) formulas no longer produce a noticeable effect
- High-volume or high-intensity training days where maximum output matters more than a smooth, gradual energy curve
Important: start conservatively, even here
"High stim" doesn't mean "always take a full scoop." Even experienced users should assess a new product at a partial dose first — different brands combine stimulants differently, and total stimulant load can vary significantly between products in this category despite similar marketing language. Always check the label for total caffeine content (including from all sources, not just caffeine anhydrous) before your first serving, and avoid stacking two stimulant products in the same session.
How to use: start with half the labelled serving to assess tolerance to that specific formula, working up to a full scoop on subsequent sessions if well tolerated. Take 20–30 minutes before training, and avoid within 6–8 hours of bedtime.
Not sure this is the right level for you? If you're newer to pre-workout, start with our Beginner (Low Stim) range and work your way up once you understand how you respond to stimulants.
